Formula 1 Wind Tunnel

Designed and built a 3D-printed Formula 1 wind tunnel to visualize aerodynamic airflow, incorporating key sections such as a diffuser, settling chamber, contraction nozzle, and test section. Integrated a fog-based flow visualization system with controlled lighting to analyze airflow behavior and optimize design performance.

Designed and modeled a custom closeout attachment in SolidWorks to provide a secure and manufacturable mounting solution for a mechanical assembly. The design incorporated button head screws and PEM nuts for reliable fastening, improved serviceability, and efficient integration within the system while applying CAD modeling and design-for-manufacturing principles.
